Featured Cat

5 to 7 year old black DSH.  She was left behind in a home with Bianca.  Madge is front declawed.  She enjoys sitting in our windows and watching the birds come and go out of our trees.  She can get spooked easily but we think that it is still an adjustment for her.  Like Bianca, Madge enjoys playing with all of our kitties here at the shelter.  Madge is also a lot of luv.....17 lbs of luv!!!!!  She is more of a lap kitty.  She just craves the human touch and will turn herself inside out when you pet her!

Bretta is a female white and grey tabby who is just learning how to act around other cats. She is a quick learner, though, and is doing great! She loves to have her back scratched and check things out around the room. She would do well in just about any home. Come see this pretty girl and she just might steal your heart!

Female grey and orange tabby/torti. She is very special! She has a talent of being the fastest kitten around! She also likes to go looking for trouble but when she is done playing, she is out like a light!

Calico kitten Little miss Freckles is the most reserved and laid back. She just melts in your arms! Very playful but would much rather be held all the time!

5 to 7 year old DSH sleek black kitty.  Fancy is pretty social and enjoys playing.  She lived with other cats and a dog and would do very well with either.  Fancy is a very quiet cat, hardly ever meows!  She is such a lover!

Young DSH orange Tabby. She seems very friendly.  We do not know about other cats at this point or dogs.  She will most likely be ok with other cats, but a slow introduction would be best.

1 year old DSH grey tabby. He was surrendered to us as one of the young children got severe allergies from him. He is very sociable and loves to rub all over on you. Peyton loves, loves, loves to play with children and he will keep them entertained for as long as they allow him to. Very easygoing, playful cat!

This boy has quite a history.  He lost an eye and a leg when he was a kitten, then lost part of his ear more recently. He was adopted out a few months ago, but had trouble getting along with the other kitties in the home.  He’s ready to take another run at a furever home.  He’s a sweet, affectionate boy once he warms up to a person. Do you have room in your heart and your home for him?

Gracie is a younger female.  She is the momma to the 3 little black kitties we have here.  She was found as a stray and we think that she had been a stray for most of her life.  She is learning to trust the human and is getting better with us interacting with her.  She likes to watch all the other cats play but she hasn't quite decided yet if she wants to make friends with any of them.  We think for now, she would do best in a home with older children and possibly a more quiet home.

Lola is approximately 6 years old. She is a unique cat with extra toes! She would do best in a quiet environment. She is such a sweet girl, it just takes her awhile to come out of her "shy shell". She hardly meows but when she does....she does it to be heard! Lola is such a beautiful cat with warm eyes that just melt your heart!

Jill is 3 to 5 years old. She was a house cat that was surrendered to us due to unforeseen circumstances. Jill did live with a dog and kids but would fight with the dog and keep a big distance from the kids. Getting to know her here, we think that she would be most happy in a home as an only pet. She does not like to be picked up and carried around at all. Jill likes everything to be on her terms and she wants what she wants when she wants it! No ifs, ands, or buts about it! One thing that we have noticed is that Jill will turn herself inside and out for some wet food or treats! So, if you want to stay in her good graces, keep that on hand at all times!!
